Minnesota Hockey has announced that 49 girls have been selected to attend the 2018 USA Hockey Girls Under-18 National Player Development Camps.  The top girls’ hockey players were selected to represent Minnesota following their performances at the CCM Minnesota Hockey High Performance Final 54 Festivals held at Vadnais  Sports Center in April.

The girls selected will take part in one of two USA Hockey player development camps this summer. The Girls Under-18 Select Camp will be held on June 23-29 in Biddeford, Maine and the Girls 16/17 Player Development Camp will take place in St. Cloud, Minnesota on July 14-20.

24 Minnesotans have been chosen to participate in the Under-18 Select camp, including 13 players who participated in the camp last year. Three of the Minnesota natives selected, Maggie Nicholson (Minnetonka), Makayla Pahl (Rochester) and Sydney Shearen (White Bear Lake) helped the U.S. Women’s National Under-18 Team to win its third consecutive gold medals at the 2018 IIHF Under-18 Women’s World Championships in Russia this past January. The complete roster for the Girls’ Under 18 Select Camp can be found here.

USA Hockey’s Girls 16/17 Player Development Camp in St. Cloud will feature at least 25 participants from its host state, with many more still under consideration. The participants will come from 17 different communities, spanning from Rochester up to Roseau and Coleraine.
